The following policy explains how Devo Technologies Ltd (“Devo,” “we,” “us,” “our”) manages the delivery, returns, and refunds of products ordered through our website and mobile apps (our “Platform”). This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.
Please read this carefully to understand how your order will be fulfilled.
1. Delivery Method
Devo operates as an on-demand local delivery platform. When you place an order, we act as an agent to conclude the sale on behalf of our local "Partner Stores," and we utilize third-party delivery partners ("Partner Couriers") to transport the items from the Partner Store directly to your specified delivery address.
2. Delivery Costs
We believe in transparency. The specific shipping cost for your order will be clearly displayed on the Partner Store’s page and again at the checkout screen before you finalize your payment.
- Standard Delivery Fee: Our delivery fees are dynamic based on distance and demand. At present, these fees do not typically exceed £2.99.
- Free Delivery: Select Partner Stores may offer free delivery. If an order qualifies for free delivery, this will be clearly marked on the Platform.
3. Delivery Times and Speed
Our Service is designed for immediate, on-demand local delivery. We do not ship items via standard post; they are delivered by courier immediately upon order acceptance.
- Estimated Delivery Time: Our Partner Couriers aim to deliver your order within 15 minutes of the order being confirmed.
- Delays: While we strive for speed, delivery times are estimates and not guarantees. Factors such as heavy traffic, weather conditions, or high demand may affect delivery times. In rare instances, delivery may take up to two hours.
- Handling Time: Orders are processed immediately by the Partner Store once the Confirmation Email is sent. There is no separate handling time day-count.
4. Delivery Areas
Delivery is available only within specific local zones determined by the location of our Partner Stores.
- To check if we deliver to you, enter your address on the Platform.
- If you are outside the delivery radius of a Partner Store, the Platform will notify you that ordering is not possible.
5. Operating Hours and Cut-Off Times
Deliveries are available during the operating hours of our Partner Stores and Partner Couriers.
- Specific operating hours are listed on each Partner Store’s page within the Platform.
- Orders cannot be placed outside of these operating hours. The "cut-off time" for same-day delivery is effectively the closing time of the Partner Store.
6. Receiving Your Order
- Tracking: You may track the progress of your delivery in real-time through our Platform.
- Receipt: You must ensure someone is available at the delivery address to receive the order.
- Age Verification: In accordance with our Terms of Service, if your order contains Age Restricted Products (e.g., alcohol), you must be present to receive the delivery and may be required to show valid ID to the Partner Courier under the Challenge 25 policy.
7. Failed Deliveries
If a delivery fails because you were not available, did not answer the door/phone, or could not provide valid age verification, you will still be charged the full price for the products and the delivery fee. Please refer to Section 7 of our Terms of Service for full details on failed deliveries.
8. Returns and Refunds
Due to the perishable nature of the products sold on our Platform (groceries, food, and beverages), we are unable to accept returns or offer exchanges once a delivery has been accepted.
- Final Sale: All sales of perishable goods are final. For health and hygiene reasons, our Partner Couriers cannot accept returned items.
- Issues with Order: If your order arrives damaged, contains incorrect items, or has missing items, you must contact us immediately upon receipt.
- Refund Eligibility: Refunds or account credits may be issued at our sole discretion solely for instances of missing, damaged, or incorrect items. Please contact support@devo.co.uk with your order details to request a review.
